Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox took classes in piano, flute and harpsichord in the Royal Academy of Music London for three years during the 70s. Lennox survived off an allowance for students, and worked part-time to help supplement her income. Lennox did not feel satisfied with the level of her abilities compared to other students at the Royal Academy and began looking at other options. Lennox was initially a flute-player in the band Dragons Playground. She left the band prior to her group being requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent show New Faces. From 1977 to 1980, she was the lead vocalist for The Tourists, a British pop group. It was during this time that she got to know Dave Stewart with whom she would form her pop group Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to release her first solo album Diva. The album was released in the year 1992. The album received a lot of praise both by critics as well as the general public. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo record came out in November of 2014. The C.D. Lennox has selected her top jazz, blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera is a collection of four piano improvisations, was released by Lennox in May of 2019. This E.P. is the companion album of her artwork in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now, I'll let You go... The album is the first time she has released an independent album. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954, is an Scottish philanthropist political activist and music producer and singer. The Tourists gained some minor recognition for her and Dave Stewart's work during the 1970s. They would go on, during the 80s, to form the popular duo Eurythmics. In 1992, Lennox launched a solo career with their debut record Diva with a variety of successful tracks, including Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa, her 1995 album studio features version covers of the songs No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo catalog includes six studio albums, as well as one compilation album to her credit.
