Luciana Paluzzi
Luciana Paluzzi is one of the many brunettes who were made into international stars as a result of the Gina Lollobrigida scandal. After appearing on both sides of the Atlantic in the 1950s in films such as Three Coins in the Fountain, (1954), and Sea Fury, (1958), Luciana Paluzzi was offered a chance at American TV fame in the role of Simone Genet in the spy weekly Five Fingers in 1959. The year was 1965 when she met with the Bond producers in order to be considered as the lead actress Domino Derval's part in Thunderball. In the end, that part was given to the former Miss France, Claudine Auger who was the director, Terence Young offered her the Villainy role Fiona Volpe - one of the few women on this planet who is able to withstand the charms of Mr. Fiona Volpe gets killed on the dancefloor by the friends of Bond, possibly to retribute her for her deeds. James then places her dead body near a table, and then asks "Do you want to see that my companion stays at in the house?" "She's deceased." Luciana Paluzzi was able to maintain her European career throughout the 1970s through this movie. Films like Captain Nemo & The Underwater City (in 1969), The Six Million Dollar Man (in 1973) along with The Klansman(in 1974) and The Greek Tycoon were all released during that decade.
